Left home around 7:45am. Drove to Lewes DE, boarded the Cape May-Lewes Ferry around 12:15pm. Arrived in Cape May NJ around 1:45pm. Drove to Storybook Land in Egg Harbor NJ, so the girls could put on their Halloween costumes and have some fun in the park. About 6pm we checked into Holiday Inn Express Absecon. The girls really enjoyed the indoor pool (me, I enjoyed the hot tub, watching the girls play and Jenn engrossed in a novel) at this location.
The next day Saturday, we went and visited our cousin Diane Cimino at Meadowview Nursing Home in Northfield NJ. Had a nice long visit until the girls got bored. Jenn took them to the car and waited, until I said goodbye and left. I think she really enjoyed seeing and talking with us. Later after a sub at the White House and some treats at Formica Bros. Bakery in Ducktown. We went to Mass at St. Michaels Catholic Church also in Ducktown. After Mass we went back to the Holiday Inn Express (it's now pouring rain} and Lori and Jennifer came to visit. We sat and talked for what seemed like hours. Very enjoyable visit and they brought pizza too..
Sunday got up and drove around to see various places we were interested in. Had to go to Margate and see Lucy the Elephant. The girls and Jenn loved it, but would not go to the top (carriage) observation deck. I stayed outside down below and watched. Later lunch (can't remember the place) right across the way from Lucy. Then off to The Atlantic City Aquarium (Ocean Life Center) and everyone had a really good time. Did a little exploring around the marina. Had dinner at an Italian Restaurant on Main Street in Absecon.
Monday around noon, checked out of the motel and drove to Cape May NJ and caught the 2:30pm ferry to Lewes DE. Arrived in Lewes DE around 4:00pm and drove towards home stopping for dinner and arriving home around 7:30pm... GREAT WEEKEND ...
